Results How many hits do you receive?

Per our statistical reports, we receive between 3000-5000 unique visitors a day. We do not count "Hits" since this is a very misleading way to track actual visitors. If we tracked hits, our counter would be in the gazillions :) The difference between a hit and a visit is a hit is registered when one file on a server is accessed by a browser. The problem with counting hits is that if you have fourteen graphic files on a page and then someone visits that page, you just registered fifteen "hits": fourteen graphic files and one actual page hit. This is known as Hit Counting and does nothing for reporting actual statistics and is a highly inaccurate figure for reporting visits. We ONLY track unique visits. That means, we only count the actually visitor as someone comes in the door. We do NOT re-count visits if someone reloads our front page slide shows either since many of our visitors enjoy reloading our main pages to see a new slide show of images that are listed on our service. Our average visitor stays much longer than the norm as well. Our average visit lasts between a half hour and forty five minutes. Now that's logging some server time !

Results How much art is sold through ArtQuest?

Since ArtQuest is a listing service and is not normally involved in a sale between a member and an interested party, it's difficult to determine exactly how much art is sold or to offer actual statistics. But sales are reported by our members who choose to share this information and are posted on our testimonial page along with other thoughts from our visitors. And you'll also notice after reading the testimonials that not only sales happen here! Artists have reported that they are securing exhibitions in galleries simply because gallery owners have seen their work at ArtQuest. Our primary goal of putting people in touch with one another is a success.

Results How do you draw buyers to your site?

Through an aggressive online advertising campaign with engines and directories, literally thousands of link exchanges from our Links Library, and word of mouth which we find to be the best form of advertising.

Results How do you promote your site?

Online advertising is important and we are listed in thousands and thousands of engines and directories and the list just keeps growing. There are new portals, engines and directories created each and every day and we strive to incorporate ArtQuest into each new search engine that starts up. We also consider "word of mouth" to be the very best form of advertising and our ever growing list of new members continually remind us of this fact when they tell us how they found us when filling out the New Member Form. We also have thousands of art sites that have links pointing back to ArtQuest which drives a targeted art audience. A true compliment when other sites direct traffic our way.
