Treasure Fee Schedule
A Treasure Fee is due from the Seller upon a sale and is based on a percentage of the selling price. ArtQuest is a service that puts people directly in touch with each other and is not liable or responsible for appraising, authenticating or inspecting treasure. We simply do a thorough examination of the supporting documents and post the treasure in an organized fashion for you to review. ArtQuest communicates back and forth between the parties via email, fax, phone or whatever method the parties involved prefer. All information is sent anonymously until payment is received and an appointment is made to view the treasure or the treasure is shipped for inspection.

When a sale proceeds to the inspection phase, a standard contract will be sent to each party. The contract will define the complete arrangement that was agreed upon through correspondence between the anonymous Buyer and Seller. The contract will outline the information provided on the treasure, the selling price, treasure fee due by the Seller, how introductions are handled as well as refunds should a treasure fail inspection.
When interest proceeds to the shipping/inspection stage, introductions play an important role in a smoother acquisition. Upon receipt of payment to ArtQuest, both parties are then introduced. The payment is held in our account until the treasure is received and inspected and the sale is approved. The Seller pays shipping and insurance unless both parties have agreed upon an alternative arrangement. Upon receipt of the treasure, the Buyer has 3 days to have their own expert inspect the treasure and notify ArtQuest that it is acceptable and the sale approved. Upon approval of the sale, ArtQuest will release the funds to the Seller less the Treasure Fee.
The preferred method of payment is wire transfer or check. Checks can be sent directly to ArtQuest at:

Of Course It's Refundable
ArtQuest wants everyone to simply enjoy the experience of buying and selling valuable treasures. It's highly recommended that all parties consult their appraiser/expert/consultant when acquiring and inspecting any treasure. If a shipment does not pass
inspection, the Buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance back to the Seller. When ArtQuest has been notified that the treasure has been returned in its original condition, and, if ArtQuest was holding funds for the transaction, a complete refund will be returned to the proper party. |
