In 1991, when 2400 baud modems were the norm, ArtQuest released an exclusive art bulletin board service known as a BBS. The BBS provided galleries, consultants and dealers a quick way to locate art throughout the art community. As technology has progressed, so has ArtQuest. Today, ArtQuest offers its members the latest up-to-date service available to the art industry.

In 1993, Michael Fitzpatrick of Reuters Wire Service, wrote "ArtQuest lets dealers find, buy and sell artwork in a computerized system worthy of Wall Street". By 1994 an extensive web site was designed, not only for galleries and dealers to use, but for everyone and anyone interested in art. The ArtQuest website was launched in the beta phase in 1996, and our foundation has been growing ever since. A quick snapshot of our Survey demonstrates that ArtQuest has members from every state and over 94 countries. In 2002 a complete overhaul of the service was conducted in order to maintain our ever growing database of members and the thousands of art works available for sale. We've come a long way since our humble beginnings and we hope that you find ArtQuest beneficial to your needs.

We hope you'll notice that ArtQuest does not post banner advertisements. In fact, you won't find any banner advertising on our service since we believe this takes up your valuable bandwidth. We constantly strive to give you a clean service without the need of benefiting from banner advertising revenue. We also treat every member and the details they provide with complete confidentiality so please do not email us to request or purchase the confidential addresses of our membership list.

We are proud of the many testimonials received from our members and visitors and encourage you to review these statements. ArtQuest believes that customer service and prompt feedback are paramount for a successful web presence and welcome your comments as well. Our secure web service makes all electronic transactions easy and secure. When sending your credit card information to us, you can rest assured because your information is encrypted during the check out process.

I believe success is measured by the extent that you are willing to help others succeed, especially in the art business. The greatest legacy one can hope to leave is a long line of people who are happier and more successful because of your efforts on their behalf. With this in mind, I hope that you enjoy our web site and let others know about our service. If you'd like to send a comment or suggestion, or even just a short note, please do not hesitate to email us. We're always looking for new and better ways to serve information that benefits the art community.
